iPhone and iPod touch: Adding a new email account can take time to verify, depending on the ISP's security settings
When setting up an email account, the iPhone or iPod touch may display "Verifying account information" after entering your email settings and tapping the "Save" button. By default, the iPhone Mail app will try to setup the email account using SSL. If your ISP does not use SSL for the connection setup, it can take a couple of minutes for the iPhone Mail app to verify that SSL is not being used.
